Fectchers back in action for one last stop. Marrickville is not only the destination but also the home for this imaginary pup now days. After trips to every corner of the world he is enjoying a relaxing day in the sunshine in his local park! 10 years after his last trip he has more time for appreciating the simplicities of an Inner Western Sydney Suburb, perched on a grassy hillside with imaginary bone in paw.
Today is a good day!

Fetchers went to Switzerland to check on his bank deposits, get some real good chocolate to eat, do a bit of climbing and generally, be neutral. Course it didn't work out how he wanted, the Switzers took against him (he's a natural anarchist) and he ended up rolling down a giant mountain with edelweiss in his hair. He's just rolled out of the picture towards you . . . watch out!

Here is Fetchers at the Eiffel Tower in Gay Paree. He has just climbed up to the very top and the celebration is going on right now: lights, fountains, fireworks, the lot. They even lit up the tower for him. All the dogs of Paris are howling too but you can't hear that in this picture. You can't really see t his either, but Fetchers is going to go bungee jumping next - they are just putting the rope around his leg and then ... wheeee! - he'll be off.

Fetchers to Ground Control: Have just landed on Pluto. Made a bit of splash as you can see. Bloody cold out here. I'm hungry too - need a Pluto Pup, preferably with chili sauce. What the hell am I doing here? I've forgotten ... could you remind me before hell freezes over? Over & out ... yelp!

Here is Fetchers in Serengeti. After a good day of sight seeing, he has decided to hitch a ride home on the back of a giraffe... although I think he may have just slipped off the back. He's in the process of falling down to the ground, but because he's on the other side of the giraffe, you can't actually see him. Giraffe's don't have seat belts, unfortunately.

This is Fetchers in Peru. Machu Piccu to be precise. He's just had a tour of the ruins and is now about to do some hiking. If you look very closely you'll see him through the fog on the Royal Road near the top of the picture. As usual, he has his head in the clouds.

Fetchers went flying over the Cote d'Azur. He's in that plane you can't see in the blue, trying to scribe his name in sky writing. Trouble is, Fetchers can't spell. All he's managed to make is the long straight bit of the 'F' - and even that was an accident. Oh, well, time for a swim.

After having a quick swim in a mountain lake, Fetchers decides to go hiking - it's a great view up there. However, he can't tell which is the real mountain and which is the mountain in the lake. Can you?

After a quick cold dip in the southern ocean, and a quick lift of the left leg against an iceberg, Fetchers goes looking for something to eat. Hmmm, not much around here that doesn't smell fishy. He's just gone over the top of the blue iceberg in the left foreground; if you look hard, you might just see the tip of his tail ... but of course his tail tip is white so maybe you can't ...

See that notch on the right two thirds of the way up the middle pyramid? That's where Fetchers is, enjoying a bit of sight seeing. And a nice relaxing sleep in the shade.

After going on an undersea journey, Fetchers has decided to do a bit of mountain climbing in Chile's Torres del Paine, and to top it off with a swim in a cold green lake. He's just jumped off the highest mountain and is somewhere under that deceptively calm greeny water. Can you see him? I can't.

Fetchers has gone on an underwater journey exploring the reefs and corals. Those bubbles coming out of the seaweed at the top left of the picture tell you where he is.

Fetchers has just hopped off the log (it's really his canoe) and swum to the island to do his daily exploring. Those tall palm trees look interesting, hmmm ...

This is Fetchers in St. Petersburg. His little wet nose can just been seen, poking out of one of the windows of the spire on the left of the pictures. Although you probably can't hear him, he is howling at the moon. Where on earth will he turn up next?

Saturday, September 6, 2008

After a nice relaxing swim in the pool, and a bit of a squirt against one of the trees, Fetchers has gone sight-seeing. He thought he'd to check the view from one of the minarets - if you look carefully, you'll see his drippy head poking out from the middle window of the dome immediately to the right of the central cupola. Go Fetchers!

Fetchers is now in Greenland (how does he get around?). That black dot to the left of the central peak, is him. He's chewing on an old seal-bone. Mmmm ... old seal bones are salty.

This is Fetchers in China. He is preparing for his big race in Beijing. The 400 metre hurdles. Bet you didn't know they had dog races at the Olympics - but everyone knows how much the Chinese love dogs ...

Here is Fetchers at Venice Beach, California, having a swim. He's the dot just to the left of the second palm from the right. As you can no doubt see, he is having a wonderful time. Wish you were there ...

Fetchers is in Turkey enjoying a bit of sun. If you look closely, you can see him lounging on the beach beneath the far headland, eating a shish-kebab while his dessert, rose-flavoured Turkish Delight, cools in the shade of the cliff.

Fetchers is enjoying a hot spa bath in Hawaii. If you look closely at this picture, you may be able to spot him just to the right of the cone, with his little charred head poking up above the horizon line.
